shape, strength, peace
Anywho, people at the golf course (I didn’t have many friends then, kept to myself, guarded my privacy and self fiercely) would ask if I was working out. Bwa-ha-ha! I loathe exercise. I knew they would not believe it was yoga, so I shrugged. To boot, yoga improved my breathing, made me aware of it. Loved that it quietly (not sweating) built strength, muscle, and flexibility. Then, because it made such a difference, I decided to eat better.
i had never been in better shape
I don’t do headstands or Crane Pose (Bakasana); my goals are lower stretches, more of the twisting into a pretzel kind of thing. When I started, I couldn’t touch my heels to my butt for Child Pose, but once I did and curled into a cocoon: yum! I do not go beyond the physical aspect of yoga yet. Sometimes I listen to music, which leads me to bounce out of a position & dance (we interrupt this programming …). Must re-create yoga playlists — cleaned them out in one of my electronic spring cleanings.
