in published format so I can see how other readers will see it (makes a difference) and not as the manuscript I’ve known for so long! Oof, it just dawned on me that I started this novel in the autumn of 1997 — twenty-five years ago. It has been finished but, to me, not complete. It is such a part of me. Or vice-versa.
