we believe
that obedience is not easy. Yet, how much of what we believe is untrue? Do we know? (We may, cr-a-zy as that sounds.) Do we want to know? I guess the answer is probably not. It would mean we fall for lies, that we lie, that we desperately wish our
thoughts + convictions
are correct, that they are the thing. At times we may not even wish that. So is it a sense of superiority? Hmm, I almost posted about fear + pride + doubt but thought the post wasn’t cohesive enough. Yet here I am: on the threshold of that subject, and this one definitely not cohesive enough.
trying to rein me back — but … yikes
the point was
that today is what matters, the now … but the ego clings to the past and hangs on to the future: tomorrow, soon, if only this … or that … lies. We are today, were yesterday, and will be tomorrow, but are today.
