i won’t bore you and shall spare

you the details
but on top of and along with everything else, I am re-reading | editing Mine To Give in Spanish. Do not like the translation of the title, but that’s not for me to think about at this point. It is the first time I set eyes on it since I translated it over a year ago, and editing is harder than the flipping translation — because that I “just did.” Con los pies, as we say in Spanish. That means with my feet, i.e., without care. Now I care. And, ugh. It is tedious, like dredging through slime. Ok, I don’t know what that’s like, so: like treading through snow. Double yuck.

They were gifts, and may be good — two were written by a very accomplished author; two are set in the same time period. I’m-just-not-in-the-mood. While searching for them, I came upon two unread books about cooking: Consider the Fork and Women and Food, also gifts a few years old, and placed them on a coffee table. Pun not intended. See, one of the characters in A Tale to Tell is a chef and …
WHAT-AM-I-THINKING?
Gotta stick to today’s plan. Will | may read those “later.”
