from yesterday and today are startling — to me

there was no sin until “the apple,” no malice

 

disobedience

(to God) brought them forth … it opened our eyes (+ possibilities) to an “otherness” — which is not the way we are to live yet so accessible and easy, but obedience is easy also. So, why do we shun it?

obe·di·ent | ō-‘bē-dē-әnt

: submissive to the restraint or command of authority

: willing to obey

ō-‘bā ə-

: to follow the commands or guidance of

: to conform to or comply with

 

harsh words

for us to read, let alone live. Is it because we’ve been made to believe (tempted) that it is an affront to our freedom and our self? To our independence as a human being | creature? We are talking about one obedience and no other. All others follow this one.

“the apple” was all about independence from god and setting up on our own
