short + sweet, or so i thought:

adding schadenfreude

A word I had never heard or read until this morning, but understand and know very well: pleasure or joy derived from someone else’s misfortune … typically born out of inferiority … fear, powerlessness, sense of deservedness.

Ok, one more: narcissism

May be the first time I write the word. The definitions in the three dictionaries I use for reference differ so much from one another that I won’t link any of them. Oxford’s seems to be the most common one, yet the others are true too.

a condition in which somebody is only interested in themselves and what they want, and has a strong need to be admired and a lack of understanding of other people’s feelings
