bring it on.
a friend once told me
that when she senses there is something she must do, change, deal with, whatever it may be, but
just doesn’t know
what + | or how, she respectfully asks, “BRING IT ON.” Essentially saying: I can’t figure it out, or may not want to, so SHOW ME. It is easier than mulling and carrying a weight, I know. But oh, it is also so easy to go on doing nothing + dismiss + ignore.
yet after pushing back the keyboard + saying exactly that — something i have done many times before — a moment ago, i immediately responded:
YOU WANT ME TO BRING IT ON?
