scrapbook i
on january 2nd i ventured to update my website,
and besides changing the copyright date, I made other changes. I wanted to break the contact link because of all the spam I receive. However, the website crashed while uploading to the server, even when I attempted to preview it on a browser. Until last Friday. I previewed only the HOME page, and it worked! So I previewed them all and found it, smoking out the culprit. It was the Scrapbook page.
i tried to figure out what was wrong,
and spent too much time on it. Could not even export it as HTML. I do not claim to know what I do pertaining to the website or this blog. I just do it, sometimes on tiptoe, then stand back.
tiptoe
tip⋅toe | tip-tō: to walk or proceed quietly or cautiously
Anyway, I almost called my son. But I went through the page first. It consists of a gallery of photographs and two “articles.” Should I re-create it? Maybe. This conundrum (big word and decent wine) has brought me to a path I’ve been avoiding.
at last, i must consider
whether to re-invent the website on another platform (as Adobe scrapped MUSE, which I used to create the website a couple of years ago. There is nothing else like it for creatures like me). Or, bit by bit, incorporate it into this blog | site and round it out a bit so it can also serve as an author site — head spinning just thinking about it.
So here is Part I of the Scrapbook page
i’ve ALREADY USED A HANDFUL OF these PHOTOS ON THIS SITE, SO YOU MAY RECOGNIZE THEM
